With the recent opening of the new Terminal 3, a new era has begun at Frankfurt Airport. The newly created retail areas offer travelers a first-class travel retail experience.
A total of 64 new shops, 12,000 square meters of total retail and food & beverage space, and an impressive architectural design combine to create a unique atmosphere with enormous sales potential in the new Terminal 3. In the future, up to 19 million passengers per year can be processed across the three gates. With the new Sky-Line train, it is now possible for 4,000 people per hour in each direction to travel between Terminals 1, 2, and 3. The travel time is just under eight minutes, with a top speed of 80 km/h.
A special highlight of the new terminal complex is the impressively designed marketplace with a total area of 6,000 square meters, which is accessible to air travelers immediately after security screening. The non-Schengen marketplace focuses on premium and luxury concepts for international passengers with exceptionally high purchasing power and a willingness to spend.
